Inspirational Story about Working Hard

George was a driver and he spend so much time at his work, that he could hardly have a meal together with his wife and three children. In the evenings he attended classes, seeking to get knowledge, that one day would help him to find a better paying job.

George‘s family often complained that he is not spending enough time with them, but his only answer was,  am doing all this for you, I work hard to provide my family with the best that I can“.

Soon after George had passed his exams, he received a good job offer with a salary, which was significantly higher that he had before. So now George could provide his family with more expensive clothes, some luxury items or vacations in foreign countries. It was like a dream come true, but family still did not get enough attention from George, as he continued to work very hard and often he did not get to see his family for most of the week.

Time passed and George‘s hard work paid off, he was promoted. He decided to relieve his wife from domestic works, so he hired a maid. He also decided that their flat is not big enough for their family and they need a more spacious one. Thus he needed to work even harder and, moreover, he continued his studies, so that he would be promoted again. George worked so hard, that sometimes he even had to spend his Sundays with his clients instead of his wife and children. And again, whenever family asked for his time and complained that they do not spend enough time together, he answered, that he was doing all this only for them.

Some time later George was promoted, so he could buy a spacious house with a beautiful view. On the first Sunday evening at their new home, George told his wife and kids, that now he decided not to take any studies and work not so hard, so that he could spend more time with his beloved family. The very next morning George did not wake up.

A Leader of Student Council

Okay, let me introduce myself on the beginning. My name is Nindya Resti Ramadhani Putri, my friends usually call me Resti. I was born in Bandung, 25th December 1998. I'm a student of SMAN 3 Bandung. I'm a part of a student council in my school, and I'm a 2nd candidate to be a leader of a student council in my school.

What is a student council? A student council is a representative structure for students only, through which they can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students. Here is the logo of student council.

Student council has its own structure organization and has a leader, absolutely. I'm the one of three candidates who are choosen by our friends to be a leader of a student council. Every candidates have their own vision to be a leader of student council and mission to reach their vision. To be a good leader is not that easy. A good leader should be the one who support others, should be the one who lead the way, and a good leader should have a vision and mission. So right now, let me explain my vision and mission. My vision is so simple actually. As we know, the motto of our school is “Knowledge is Power but Character is More”. But now, in my point of view, the character of many students in my school is not as good as it was. For example, me, as a student, realize that now we will do everything to reach a good score. I mean, EVERYTHING. It seems like we don't care whether it's good or not, but the most important is A GOOD SCORE. Agree? Ironically, it's so contrast with our motto which is knowledge is power but character is more. So, my vision is to bringing out again our motto to all of the students. A simple vision but it's hard enough to be realized. There is a mission that must be completed to achieve my vision. My mission is : a character education. I think, teachers should give us a character education so that the students can apply that on their daily life. Then again, teachers should be more disciplining students so that the responsibilty will be grown and the good character either. I hope with my election as a leader of student council, all of the students can have a good character and the motto of our school can be realized again soon.

Okay, my explanation about my vision and mission is completed. So right now, I'm begging all of your support to choose me as a leader of student council in the next election period. Thank you!

The Best Moment of My Holiday

Holiday. Who doesn't love holiday? No one. Of course, everybody loves holiday and so do I! So in this post, I will tell you the story about my holiday.

My holiday started from 21st December 2013 until 5th January 2014. A long enough holiday, wasn't it? To be honest, my last holiday was kinda boring because I didn't go travelling to another countries like my previous holidays, but I enjoyed my holiday so much. Although I didn't go to another countries to spend my holiday, I spent my holiday with my dearest friends and my family. For example is like, I went to the cinema and watched some movies with my friends and I also went to Lembang to had a quality time with my family.

Anyway, I had the best moment in my holiday. That best moment happened on 25th December 2013 which was my 15th birthday!!! For the very first time in my life, I got a surprise birthday party from my dearest friends. I never expected that I would get a surprise birthday party like that because my birthday is always on holiday so that I have never met my friends on my birthday, I know it's kinda sad.... Okay, so here is the story about my birthday. It was 24th December 2013, I was in video call with my special one... HEHE. We had a video call until the clock showed 00:00 and the date changed to 25th December 2013 which was my 15th birthday. On our video call, he wrote “HBD” in the piece of paper and he showed that paper to me, hahahahahaha it was kinda cute somehow, then he sent me a very long wishes text. He was the first person who said “Happy Birthday” to me. The special beginning of the birthday, with the special one:)

In the morning, I woke up and got my phone with a lot of birthday wishes texts from my friends. When I checked my phone, I found the text which said that I must go to school at about 12:30 pm to attend the meeting of student council, and I'm like “meeting on the christmas? Seriously?”. Then I asked to my friend whether it's true or not, and they said yes. Then I went to school and when I arrived at school..... I DIDN'T FIND ANY OF MY FRIENDS THERE. I called my dearest friend and he said that he didn't go to school because her mom didn't allow him to go. I was so upset, sad, disappointed, and I'm like “today is my birthday but he doesn't come here to meet me?”. Then I called all of my friends and they said that they still on their way to school. I waited long enough, ALONE in the school, I was sooooooo upset in that time. Suddenly my phone rang and it was my friend called me. She said that she has already arrived in Taman Lalu Lintas, and she wanted me to go to that place and met her. So I walked to Taman Lalu Lintas but I didn't find her there, it made me very upset actually. Then I decided to go back to school. When I walked back to school, suddenly my friends and my dearest friend came along with a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday song. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'M VERY SURPRISED. I never expected it would be like this. My dearest person that said he wouldn't come was actually stand there in front of me with a birthday cake and the gift on his hand. I'm tricked. They successfully tricked me. All of the meeting was a bullshit, it was just a part of their plan... SUUUCCKKKS, but I was soooooo happy!

I blew the candle on my birthday cake. Took a photo with my friends, and suddenly..... my friends threw me with some eggs and spilled me with some water... SUCKS FOR THE SECOND TIME. OhmyGod it was so disgusting!!! Lucky me, I brought clothes so I changed my clothes which was so disgusting!! After all the surprise birthday party, we went to eat at one of the fast-food restaurant. After that, I went back to my home and my dearest friend was accompany me. OhmyGod, what a day, what a birthday, happiness overload!

And here is a picture about my best moment in my holiday. Anyway, it was my homemade birthday cake that made by my mom. Cuteness overload, right?
 Happy 15th!

Then that was my story about the best moment of my holiday. So how about yours?

Geyser

Definition of Geyser

A geyser is a spring characterized by intermittent discharge of water ejected turbulently and accompanied by a vapour phase (steam). The formation of geysers is due to particular hydrogeological conditions, which exist in only a few places on Earth, so they are a fairly rare phenomenon. Generally all geyser field sites are located near active volcanic areas, and the geyser effect is due to the proximity of magma. Generally, surface water works its way down to an average depth of around 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) where it contacts hot rocks. The resultant boiling of the pressurized water results in the geyser effect of hot water and steam spraying out of the geyser's surface vent (a hydrothermal explosion).

Beehive Geyser
Form of Geyser

Geysers are temporary geological features. Geysers are generally associated with volcanic areas. As the water boils, the resulting pressure forces a superheated column of steam and water to the surface through the geyser's internal plumbing. The formation of geysers specifically requires the combination of three geologic conditions that are usually found in volcanic terrain.
  1. Intense Heat : The heat needed for geyser formation comes from magma that needs to be near the surface of the earth. The fact that geysers need heat much higher than normally found near the earth's surface is the reason they are associated with volcanoes or volcanic areas. The pressures encountered at the areas where the water is heated makes the boiling point of the water much higher than at normal atmospheric pressures.
  2. Water : The water that is ejected from a geyser must travel underground through deep, pressurized fissures in the Earth's crust.
  3. Plumbing System : In order for the heated water to form a geyser, a plumbing system is required. This includes a reservoir to hold the water while it is being heated. Geysers are generally aligned along faults. The plumbing system is made up of a system of fracturesfissures, porous spaces and sometimes cavities. Constrictions in the system are essential to the building up of pressure before an eruption.
Eruption of Geyser
Geyser activity, like all hot spring activity, is caused by surface water gradually seeping down through the ground until it meets rock heated by magma. The geothermally heated water then rises back toward the surface by convection through porous and fractured rocks. Geysers differ from non-eruptive hot springs in their subterranean structure; many consist of a small vent at the surface connected to one or more narrow tubes that lead to underground reservoirs of water and pressure tight rock.
1. Steam rises from heated water

2. Pulses of water swell upward

3. Surface is broken

4. Ejected water spouts upward and
falls back down into the pipe

Type of Geyser
There are two types of geysers: fountain geysers which erupt from pools of water, typically in a series of intense, even violent, bursts; and cone geysers which erupt from cones or mounds of siliceous sinter (also known as geyserite), usually in steady jets that last anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. Old Faithful, perhaps the best-known geyser at Yellowstone National Park, is an example of a cone geyser. Grand Geyser, the tallest predictable geyser on earth, (although Geysir in Iceland is taller, it is not predictable), also at Yellowstone National Park, is an example of a fountain geyser.
